 Post subject: Speed Modelling Contest #11 - Using the Lathe tool

Andy requested that I set a challenge so here we go.

Model anything you like in one hour, the only stipulation is that at some point you need to use the lathe tool. Up to you if the main part of the mesh is lathe`d or you use it for adding any details.

Ooops, polycount is up to you but try to keep it suitable for game use. Deadline Monday night OK with everyone ?

Here's mine. Lathe tool used on the planar hologram thing.

The model is a sort of sci fi projector.

My entry a Fire Hydrant US style. Took around 45 mins, weighs in at 926 polys

OK, here's mine folks - an old style metal bin...

Just a simple line outline of the bin, lathe, then, selecetd some of the inner vertices and acaled them in - simples!

I found a picture last night, but didnt open it up until I had finished the model, so you could say I sort of winged it. :D
