Come on Brillim-o.

I put my vote in for Drecks and Frap. But they were all great entries.

This was easilly the toughest to vote on.
I wanted to vote for most of them.

Awesome work all - great stuff.

Was it the supplied concept work that made this interesting or was it the topic?
This got a lot more responses than the other challenges, I just wondered why.

Was it the chance to school some of the pro's?

let me know what you think, and we'll try to do it again :)
Great work.

I'd like to see these finished too at some point...

Well for me the supplied concept work really did help me in thinking about what I wanted to do, and what was actually wanted out of it in the end. I think it would have been easy to say make a cute robot, but without the concept work it would have been difficult to actually model a cute robot.

A couple of things did it for me about this challenge.

First the chance to work from some else`s concept, It was quite a challenge, though I did have to deviate a little. The second was to see how well I could do against the pro guys, I think they should have to write out a hundred time "I will read the specification before starting in future" and finally to have four hours was just enough for me to add some details, normally my mouse is smoking after one of these challenges and it was nice being able to take a little more time.

I voted for Frap and Kinesis second entry.
They are all nice but these two just pop above the others.

Don't know why this got more competitors. Maybe its the fact
the board has more members to.

Well, I enter all of the speed modelling contests (apart from the last one - no time free at all), but I was particularly interested in this due to the concept art. I wanted to see how I'd do when trying to create a model from a bit of concept art that wasn't the three view drawings and sort of doing it free hand. I think Frap did an excellent job on the amateur side. I especially like the way the lights on the chest look almost like ranks from Star Wars.

For me, it's all about doing something new. Next thing I want to try is to make a model from a set of photos and no plans.
