Hi all,

Just thought I would come here with a problem I am haaving. Now before I start I have been using max for years, and I am usually quite proficient in unwrapping and texturing the normal way, but Mudbox is new to me.

I followed a tutorial, but the model is mine, and not the one in the tutorial.
Here is the workflow I followed.

1) Build model in max, and export to mudbox.
2) do lots more modelling and get up to level 6.
3) lower to level 0. export to max and unwrap. export back to obj.
4) import uv map into mudbox at level 0, and then carry on colouring the model in.

Now in mudbox the uv map looks fine. so I start colouring and everything is fine except for certain parts. eg the tongue.

I start to colour in the tongue and as I am colouring it starts colouring the wrong place to where the cursor is. Same on the back horns. in some places I will colour the horns, and the colour will start appearing in the wrong place.

I am pretty sure it is a uv problem, but I don't know what is wrong.
I would appreciate some help from someone who uses 3ds max and mudbox. I think I got the idea right, but something is wrong.

However I am quite pleased with my first monster head so far. I am not too good with organic models LOL.

Hi all,

I didn't solve the texture problem by the way, but I cheated to get the model finished. The biggest problem I had was on the teeth. I would like somebody into max and mudbox to give me a little help on why it happened.

Anyway if anybody wants to see the completed model, then here is the link
