Hello all,
I thought it was about time we opened up a programmers thread too - I know a few coders lurk here, so now they have a place to chat.

I've thought about learning a bit of code too, have any of you guys?

I started with Spectrum basic moved onto Amos 3D and Amos Pro then when I finally moved onto a PC got into Dark Basic and Blitz and fiddled about with Torque.

Starting to get my head around Unity now and can do very basic stuff in it, its very different to what I am used to.

Unity is cool - I really recommend it for both artists and programmers.

Ive slowly been looking into the CodeAcademy Javascript lessons. More as a down time activity than looking to take it further.

I wrote my first c++ program last night from a free webinar from 3D Buzz - it was a bit of a faff as there were loads of people asking different questions, but I learned something new.

Not sure I'll betaking up programming just yet though!

It's working for me /\

Over the last year or so I've spent some time learning Android Development.

Android is a cool OS...However I do feel it's a bit of a headache for devs though with all the fragmentation: different versions of the OS, multiple hardware specs all over the place(memory, screen res/pixel density) and manufactures customizations on top of vanilla Android.

I do plan to check out Unity Android soon...I've seen some cool stuff put together with Unity.

I also plan to look in to PlayStation Suite (Sony's SDK for Android and PS Vita) soon - I believe it is going public at some point this month.
